Meet the Team – Richard Reed, National Accounts Manager.

This month we are delighted to announce the appointment of our newest AccuGrit team member, Richard Reed, who is joining us as National Accounts Manager.

A familiar face in the winter maintenance industry, Richard has a wealth of experience in developing profitable national accounts and a reputation for maintaining excellent customer relationships. Richard will oversee implementing and managing the national sales activities, plus identify new market opportunities to support AccuGrit’s strategic business growth.

We know Richard is looking forward to sharing ideas and working on strategies, so before he got ‘snowed’ under in his new role, we borrowed him for five minutes to learn more about him.

Please describe your role at AccuGrit

As National Accounts Manager, my primary role is to build and maintain strong working relationships with our existing and new clients to ensure high customer satisfaction. I’m also the main link between our customers and any internal or delivery teams within Accugrit.

Tell us about your professional experience before joining AG?

I started my working life as a textile engineer, but one of my roles naturally led me to be more customer-focused, which I enjoyed. So I’ve spent the last nine years working as National Accounts Manager for The Gritting Company, looking after some of their major national accounts.

What attracted you to work at AG?

I’ve known Dean for some years now and have been very impressed with the huge success he and his team have made of Accugrit in its first three years, especially the high level of service they offer their clients, so this was a significant factor in me wanting to be part of this team. Also, the working culture at Accugrit is very relaxed and forward-thinking. Their people are at the heart of everything they do.

What do you envisage will be the biggest challenges over the next 12mths for winter maintenance?

Like most businesses, the most significant challenges Accugrit will face over the next 12 months will be inflation and the impact that could have on our customers. However, we are trying to minimise this impact by encouraging all customers to sign up for winter 22/23 as early as possible.

Finally, tell us a fun fact about yourself.

I love to travel and have visited over 45 countries.

You can contact Richard for enquiries at [email protected] or connect with him on LinkedIn
